Zwinky Advice-Off 2009: Round 2
Welcome, Zwinksters, to this historic event! This is the second in a five-part series that pits zwINK bloggers/advice columnists Mr. Metropolitan and Miss Thang against each other.
The outcome will be entirely up to you!
Zwinky Advice-Off 2009 Question #2: Zwinky resident -4rtist- asks...
I have a love question... So i like this boy but i don't think he notices me i sometimes hang with him and just kid around with stuff and go shopping (which is fun ) but I still cant get him to notice me. Please help!
Now let's hear from our contestants!
Mr. Metropolitan: Since I am a gentleman of impeccable manners, I would normally defer this question to Miss Thang... since she may have some specific beauty tips in mind for you. But that would be against the spirit of this competition. So my best advice to you is this: stop trying so hard! If you like him, the tendency is to try and become someone else who you think he might like in return...and that's precisely the wrong thing to do. All you need to do is be yourself, and if he likes you – the real you, that is – you'll come to know that in due time. And if he never gets around to telling you that, it likely means he either doesn't like you... or he's simply playing games. Guys love their games. Mr. Metropolitan, for instance, enjoys being a complete enigma, as it makes the days and nights much more interesting.
Miss Thang: Ok, no offense to all the marvelous men out there, but some of you can be a bit thick-headed at times. There are certain guys who need a little nudge or even a blatant push in the right direction. Now, if you are feeling particularly brave, you can always admit your true feelings and see where it goes. In fact, I think it's safe to say most men would at the very least be flattered by this type of admission. (well, except Mr. Metropolitan who would let such a display go directly to his head.) However, if you are looking for a more subtle approach, gently suggest a solo outing featuring an activity you'd both enjoy. Then consider making your move!
Okay. Now it's your turn. Let's hear from you!
